Ionic (with Capacitor) is highly underrated. It's really the only choice if you want your app everywhere with a single codebase. I'm surprised not more people would need that flexibility

The first framework in the Moroccan job market is Angular, in addition to Java frameworks, and PHP. I don't understand how somebody says there are no jobs for angular. but I like React and Next.js
Ionic is utter garbage. JavaScript has been abused and contorted into an entire ecosystem for web noobs who can’t handle compiled languages.
I'm a new developer with some angular background. I have a new upcoming project and this video help me make a decision to use Ionic than learn from scratch on flutter. Thanks
For those who don't like Angular and/or Ionic, simply use Capacitor with your preferred web framework.
it really depends on your use case, if you have a webapp going then yeah this will be the perfect choice for sure, but if anything from scratch then i must say no, why not use flutter/react native…

Why my company went with Ionic React for our upcoming mobile app:
– React Native CLI was completely broken when we went to scaffold the app, spitting literally 60 pages of error message vomit (confirmed by posting the error message vomit into a Google doc) when we tried to run a brand new freshly scaffolded Hello World app
– Expo did not have in-app payments at the time of our mobile app's scaffolding
– Flutter has the animation jank bug which was unacceptable to us, as first impressions are important and we can't have the first thing our users see be a janky app. Also Flutter is callback hell in code form.
– Our web app is NextJS/React/Material-UI, and code-sharing with an Ionic React app is exceptionally easy, mostly all we have to do is copy-paste it over, write a TypeScript typedef and make sure there are no type errors, and adjust the components used from MUI to Ionic.
Do you think flutter can work properly with Android, IOS and a web app as long as it supports also web with a single codebase? Have you tried it maybe and comment some downsides like seo?

I agree. Most apps businesses want are nothing more than a glorified database with a couple of images and pictures slapped together with some BS spin around it. They don't care about native, hybrid or what powers it. They want their ugly logo in the header with no white space and they want it NOW!!!

frameworks are garbage. just because something is new doesn't mean it's good. i get the same backwards thinking from my boss every day and i cannot see one thing going for it.
Also, let’s not forget how much of a dumpster fire NativeScript was for iOS.
If you get those dual pencil mics you can ditch the sound insulation pads on your wall. Curious about Ionic again after having played around with it two years ago. Sadly, Apple’s WKWebView documentation is still garbage, which is why I’m here. Great video production!

I love angular and ionic
I don't think Simon was entirely well informed where it came to Flutter. He incorrectly implied that Flutter lacked Web support, which was incorrect even when the video was produced. Of course, he has a personal preference and it makes sense for him to work with what he's already experienced with.
But there's not much difference between the multi-platform frameworks. Personal preference is really all it comes down to, so if you're a Web developer you're probably going to gravitate towards something that uses JavaScript, while if already a native developer, Flutter will likely be more to your liking and if you come from a dotNet background Xamarin will probably be your thing.
For the most part, the only deciding factor will be future support, and in this regard both React Native and Flutter are unlikely to be going away for the next few years.
The real debate is whether one should go multi-platform or native. There there are real differences in performance, support and cost. In this regard, my view is that, if you have the budget and resources, you should generally still go with the latter, but the former is a perfectly good development strategy also.
Hii I am new to this ionic framework and I am using capacitor with react and I have task to complete this face ID and touch ID in android and ios and I am trying this almost a month and not able to solve this task. So I need help from experts and seniors in ionic framework. So can anyone help me in this task or atleast tell me if it is not possible 😅and I would really appreciate the help 😊

This topic has always been a dilemma for me as a beginner developer, especially when i'm not on the job. Employers expect experiences in different stacks and no matter how much self practice you have you could not always match their stack or you would still need to learn on the job anyway, i have college experience in c++ but i never used it since and been focused on javascript in bootcamps and small learning projects, i still had to learn topics in react, react native and angular to do my work tasks anyway and i still am a beginner.
i don't know if you have videos on this yet but i would like to know how a beginner developer with no work experience stay on track in learning and looking and applying to jobs that have different stacks
So far i had two internships in tech startups (currently on my second internship) and employers keep asking for experience years or projects and so far hadn't got an offer and i'm sure it's more because of how little experience i have and not something else
One big Flutter advantage right now seems to be the ease of monetization.

The reason I stick to Ionic is because of it simplicity and ease of usage.
I love so much with web technologies, its so simple and make sense. But job demand in my country kind shifting to flutter
4:56 7 years with the same toolset, that is amazing, this shows nicely that Angular, IONIC are mature and didn't loose popularity. React JS may have become more popular recently, but this popularity is mostly for the masses. Evaluating Angular 12 with IONIC for a new project seemed more reasonable: Angular was designed for TypeScript integrated, it has a consistent object-oriented easy to understand clean (opinionated) architecture. TypeScript is the (corporate) programming language and we pick frameworks accordingly..
I'm looking for something that can be installed easily and don't ask me too much weird questions that I can never find the answer for plus, I can make apps/Dapps for both android and IOS and any new OS for phones and flutter just not it. Too much headache just trying to install it.
